How To Make Barley And Beef

Barley and beef recipe

Add a pinch of salt and a tablespoon of cooking oil to 2 cups of boiling water.

To the boiling water, add the barley and cook on low to medium heat for 20- 25 minutes, set aside to cool.

In a large saucepan or skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil, add ground beef, and cook for 5 minutes.

Add onion and carrots and cook for 2 more minutes or until the carrots are soft.

For seasoning, add a 1/4 teaspoon salt, paprika, nutmeg, white pepper, and black pepper, and cook for a minute.

Add half a cup of tomatoes and a tablespoon of tomato paste, cover with a lid and cook until the tomatoes are soft.

Add demiglace roux, peas, spinach, and 5 tablespoons of water, Cook for 5 more minutes then serve.

  • 200 Grams Ground Beef You can use pork or any meat of your choice.
  • 1 Medium Carrot You can also add in other veggies such as bell pepper, cauliflower, peas, and zucchini.
  • 1 Small Onion Chopped
  • 4 Tablespoons Cooking Oil Divided
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Paprika
  • 1/4 Teaspoon White Pepper
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Demiglace Roux
  • 1/4 Cup Tomatoes Chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 1/2 Cup Peas
  • 1/2 Cup Spinach
